The Woodson Family "This is the fourth house we have built, and we knew what we wanted. We started with the Birmingham plan because we liked the layout of the great room and the office that opened into it. Beyond that, we deviated from the floor plan a lot, but that was never a problem for Truberry. As a matter of fact, they made suggestions that went beyond what we were planning to do. We added a porch off our office, for example, which had never been done before with this model. We bumped out the back of the house so we could take advantage of the golf course view. In addition, we extended the height of all of our doorways so they would be a focal point of the house. When it came time to select our colors, the people in Truberry's selection center offered such great advice. Through it all, Truberry was extremely accommodating. It was a great experience." This home features a living room and dining room off the main entry, which leads into the dramatic great room. The Woodsons choose to draw attention to the large columns between the kitchen and great room by using stained rather than painted wood. The office off the great room gives the family's three kids a place to do their homework and search the Internet. Upstairs, the four bedrooms all have large closets. | |||
